Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred active support to people living with a disability in SIL settings. You will assist with personal care, daily living tasks and community participation, including 1-on-1 supports and engaging activities.

The role requires a NSW driver’s licence, basic tech skills, and a current First Aid certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011). Probity checks are part of the successful candidate process.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide person-centred active support.
• Ability to work with people with disability in SIL settings.
• Willingness to follow behaviour and mealtime plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide full personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support clients with daily living activities and domestic tasks.
• Assist clients to participate in community activities and 1-on-1 support.
• Follow care plans and safety protocols.
