Job summary

Tongarra Road Family Dental in New South Wales is seeking a highly organized and friendly Casual/Part Time Dental Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and ensure a positive and efficient experience.

3 days a week, 8:30am – 5:30pm; duties include scheduling appointments, answering calls, updating records, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, keeping the reception area tidy, and coordinating with staff on urgent needs.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet patients.
• Schedule appointments accurately using the practice’s electronic scheduling system.
• Answer phone calls promptly and assist callers or direct them to staff.
• Manage patient records by updating personal information in the electronic database.
• Verify insurance coverage for new patients and update existing information.
• Collect co-payments or outstanding balances from patients at check-in or check-out.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and stock brochures/pamphlets.
• Collaborate with dental staff regarding changes in appointment schedules or urgent needs.
