Job summary

Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for the Primary Care team at Broken Hill Correctional Centre. This permanent part-time role (24 hours per week) offers an opportunity to provide essential health services within a custodial environment.

You will conduct reception screening and comprehensive health assessments, and contribute to nursing care planning, implementation and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Qualified Registered Nurse (RN) currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The RN performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody, while assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing management.
