NSW Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN2-8) for the Primary Care team at Broken Hill Correctional Centre. 24 hours per week on a permanent part-time basis, with a diverse caseload and opportunities for professional growth.

The role requires current AHPRA registration and at least one year of nursing experience. Remuneration ranges from $43.46 to $57.88 per hour plus superannuation, with additional allowances and benefits on offer.

• At least one full year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments for persons received into custody.

The Role

We're currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and at least one full year of nursing experience.

The Registered Nurse performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing management.

Our Location

Broken Hill Correctional Centre is a medium and minimum-security facility for both male and female offenders, located in far western New South Wales, approximately 1,190 km from Sydney. The centre's medium-security section functions as a reception prison for a vast region of the state, bordered by Queensland to the north, Victoria to the south, and South Australia to the west. It accommodates a mix of sentenced and remand inmates.
