NSW Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Primary Care services at the Cessnock Correctional Centre. The RN will perform reception screening and health assessments for persons received into custody, and will plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care within a dynamic custodial setting.

The role requires current AHPRA registration and at least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a 24-hour per week part-time arrangement through January 2028.

Qualifications

• Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• At least one full year of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Responsabilités

• Provide reception screening and comprehensive health assessments for detainees.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing management for patients in custody.
