Luna Park Melbourne is seeking experienced, reliable and enthusiastic Cooks to join our Food & Beverage team. In our fast-paced, high-volume kitchens you will prepare and cook food efficiently while delivering meals to a high standard of food safety and cleanliness.

The role requires previous commercial cooking experience, the ability to follow recipes and instructions in English, and a desire to work as part of a supportive team.

Competenze

• Previous experience preparing and cooking food in a commercial kitchen (essential).
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume food service environment.
• Ability to confidently follow recipes, preparation procedures and food safety requirements.
• Ability to clearly understand and communicate instructions in English, particularly those relating to food preparation, allergens, hygiene and workplace safety.
• Sound understanding of safe food handling, hygiene and cleaning practices.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to remain organised during busy service periods.
• Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to support teammates.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

Position requirements

• Availability for a minimum of 4 shifts per week, including the required weekday and weekend availability.
• Must hold, or have applied for, a valid Working with Children's Check before commencing employment.
• Must have valid working rights in Australia.
• A Certificate II or III in Commercial Cookery is highly regarded but not essential.
• A cover letter outlining your previous cooking experience, availability and any upcoming commitments is required to be considered for an interview.
