Job summary

Dreamworld on the Gold Coast is seeking a Qualified Chef or Cook for part-time roles. You will work across café classics, quick bites and event catering, helping bring to life delicious menu items and keeping the kitchen humming throughout busy service.

There is variety across restaurants, fast food outlets and activations, ensuring every day is different. Experience in high-volume operations or events, plus solid knowledge of food safety and presentation, is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume kitchen operations or events-based catering.
• Good knowledge of food safety standards and food presentation.
• Team player with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Cert III in Commercial Cookery is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor food quality, stock levels and kitchen hygiene.
• Prepare and present meals with emphasis on quality.

From prepping the goods and plating them up to keeping the kitchen humming, you will play a vital role in delivering quality food and unforgettable experiences. Day to day, you will:

• Availability to work a 7-day roster including weekends, early mornings, evenings and public holidays
• Cert III in Commercial Cookery is highly regarded but not essential
• Physical fitness to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment

Part Time (PT20)

Part time (PT20) employment guarantees a minimum of 20 hours per week over a cyclic roster. It is a condition of PT20 employment that you must be available to work a minimum of 5 days within a 7-day work cycle, inclusive of weekends.

As a part time team member, you will accrue leave entitlements on a pro-rata basis. Part time team members are also given priority to rostered hours.
