Job summary

AnglicareSA in Grange is seeking a Cook for our Residential Aged Care facility. You will prepare nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and lead the hospitality team to ensure high standards in meal preparation and service.

The role focuses on delivering quality, flavoursome meals in a supportive aged care environment, with emphasis on nutrition, safety, and teamwork. Experience in aged care is desirable, and certificate qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Basic to advanced cooking skills for nutritious meals
• Ability to follow dietary requirements and modified diets
• Strong understanding of food hygiene practices

Responsibilities

• Prepare enjoyable, nutritious meals for residents based on individual requirements or modified diets
• Lead and assist the hospitality team in meal preparation and food handling
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen workspace to a high standard
• Provide prompt courteous service to residents, families, and colleagues
• Liaise with centre staff for feedback and dietary updates

Education

Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent

Experience in aged care environment (desirable)

Food hygiene practices

Liaising with suppliers within budget
