Job summary

Crystalbrook Riley, a five-star luxury hotel in Cairns, is seeking a Commis Chef for a part-time role offering 16–24 hours per week. You will cook and present dishes using fresh local ingredients, maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will join a supportive culinary team, with ongoing training, and work across a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Experience as Commis Chef or similar in hotel/restaurant.
• Strong understanding of WHS, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and consistency in prep and presentation.
• Calm, organized and professional under pressure.
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends/public holidays.
