Job summary

Panthers Penrith Leagues Club is seeking a Commis Chef to join Kelly's Kitchen in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare, cook and present quality dishes while upholding high food safety and presentation standards.

Reporting to the Outlet Sous Chef, you will work with an energetic team to keep the kitchen running smoothly, bringing passion, initiative and attention to detail to contribute to Panthers' renowned dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Two years' post-apprenticeship experience as a chef in a busy kitchen.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow standard recipes and food presentation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present quality dishes in a busy, multi-outlet kitchen.
• Complete daily preparation for your allocated section within Kelly's Kitchen.
• Use cooking equipment and techniques, including grills, pans, fryers and cold larder.
• Prepare mise en place under the direction of the Outlet Chef.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented kitchen throughout and after service.
• Check food deliveries and ensure products are stored safely in FIFO procedures.
• Complete daily cleaning checklists to maintain a safe and hygienic workplace.
