Job summary

Panthers Penrith Leagues Club seeks a Commis Chef for Kelly's Kitchen to prepare and present quality dishes in a fast-paced multi-outlet kitchen. Reporting to the Outlet Sous Chef, you’ll work with an energetic team to keep the kitchen running smoothly and uphold high safety and presentation standards.

You will have at least two years post-apprenticeship experience, a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, with strong communication and teamwork to grow

Qualifications

• Two years post-apprenticeship experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present quality dishes in a busy, multi-outlet kitchen
• Complete daily preparation for your allocated section within Kelly's Kitchen
• Use a range of cooking equipment and techniques, including grills, pans, fryers and cold larder preparation
• Prepare mise en place under the direction of the Outlet Chef
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented kitchen throughout and following each service
• Check food deliveries and ensure products are stored safely in accordance with FIFO procedures
• Complete daily cleaning checklists to maintain a safe and hygienic workplace

About The Opportunity

As a Commis Chef, you'll play an important role in thefast-paced Kelly's Kitchen team, preparing and presenting qualitydishes while maintaining high food safety and presentationstandards.

About you

• You have a minimum of two years' post-apprenticeship experienceas a Chef in a busy kitchen environment


• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery


• A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  Strong written and verbal communication skills


• A genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to grow yourcareer with Panthers


• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to followstandard recipes and food presentation guidelines


• The ability to remain calm, work effectively under pressure andsolve problems


• The ability to work confidently both independently and as partof a team.


• Availability to work across a variety of shifts includingmornings, nights and weekends
