Delaware North Australia is hiring a part-time Commis Chef to join our team at Blacktown Exercise and Technology Hub (BEST) in New South Wales. You will collaborate with senior chefs to create dishes that impress and thrive in a high-volume kitchen environment.

Join a team dedicated to hospitality excellence, with opportunities for training, development, and flexible shifts. You’ll gain experience across world-class events and venues while upholding HACCP and WHS standards.

Formación

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef is required and proven experience in an a' la carte restaurant or function service is preferred.
• Solid background in kitchen operations
• Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety certificate, or willing to obtain at onboarding
• A passion for food and creative flair
• Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labor costs

Responsabilidades

• Prepare a range of dishes in a high-volume production setting
• Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards
• Execute food preparation tasks, showcasing expertise in food presentation
• Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
• Ensure HACCP and WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards including conducting temperature and quality checks and effectively managing cross-contamination
