Job summary

Shift is seeking a part-time Credit Analyst to review credit applications from customers and brokers, analysing bank statements and financial documents to assess creditworthiness and suggest lending options.

You will work with Relationship Managers and Sales, maintain data in systems, and ensure compliance while delivering accurate risk assessments in a hybrid work setting with a North Sydney base.

Qualifications

• Experience with Delegated Lending Authority in commercial or business lending.
• Strong understanding of the SME market and customer service.
• Experience analysing commercial credit from financial statements and bank records.
• Familiarity with non-traditional data is a plus.
• Background in risk or analytics roles or POS finance is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to compliance and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess commercial credit applications by analysing financial statements, bank records, and other important data.
• Connect with applicants and brokers by phone to gather information and discuss loan requirements.
• Deliver accurate and thorough credit assessments, recommending lending limits.
• Match each application with the right products and services.
• Maintain detailed records of risk factors and mitigation approaches.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and brokers to support growth.
• Follow underwriting guidelines and compliance standards, keeping data in our systems.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Sales teams, providing coaching and support.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and service.
