Job summary

Shift in North Sydney is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to assess commercial credit applications from customers and brokers, using bank statements, financial statements and other data to determine creditworthiness and lending suitability.

You will work with Relationship Managers and internal teams, ensure underwriting standards and data integrity, and help shape lending outcomes while managing risk in a fast-paced SME environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with delegated lending authority for commercial lending.
• Strong understanding of SME lending and credit risk.
• Ability to analyse bank statements and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Assess commercial credit applications by analysing financial statements and other data.
• Conduct interviews with applicants and brokers to gather information and set loan criteria.
• Provide quantitative credit assessments and recommended lending limits.
• Ensure correct products and services are applied to applications.
• Maintain records of risk factors and mitigation strategies for decision making.
• Build relationships with internal teams, customers and brokers.
• Adhere to underwriting standards and data integrity in core systems.
• Support Relationship Managers with coaching and upskilling.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.
