Job summary

G8 Education Ltd invites applications for a part-time Cook at Headstart Early Learning Centre Geelong. The role focuses on creating nutritious meals for up to 136 children, with 33 hours per week across set days, Monday to Friday, in a supportive team environment.

Applicants should hold a relevant Cookery qualification or ACECQA Early Childhood qualification, plus current child-safety checks and First Aid. Food safety certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experienced in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control.
• Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements.
• Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations.
• Be a Team Player with great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be available for set shift days and times Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 136 children each day.
• Manage kitchen operations in a Headstart Early Learning Centre Geelong setting.
