Job summary

G8 Education Ltd. is seeking an experienced Cook to join the team at Buggles Child Care Brookfield Place to prepare high quality, nutritious meals and snacks for children each day.

The role is part-time permanent, 25 hours per week, with set shifts Monday to Friday. Ideal applicants will hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, plus WWCC and First Aid.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Current Working with Children’s Check and First Aid.
• Experience in menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering and control.
• Experience with dietary and allergy safety requirements.
• Commitment to clean, safe kitchen practices per Food Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high quality, nutritious meals and snacks for children.
• Plan menus and manage budgets for the kitchen.
• Order and control stock to meet meal requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with Food Safety regulations.
• Collaborate with teachers and centre staff to support learning through food.
