Job summary

G8 Education Ltd is seeking an experienced Cook to join the team at Buggles Child Care Brookfield Place in Perth. The role is part-time permanent, 25 hours per week, creating high quality, nutritious meals for up to 68 children daily.

You will plan menus, manage a budget, order stock, and ensure a safe kitchen compliant with Food Safety regulations. A WWC and First Aid are required; experience cooking for children is preferred. We offer above‑award wages and staff benefits.

• Experience in menu planning, budgeting and stock control.
• Knowledge of dietary and allergy-safe requirements.
• Experience in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen in line with Food Safety regulations.
• Be a Team Player with strong communication.
• Available for set shift days Monday to Friday.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join the team at Buggles Child Care Brookfield Place to produce high quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to children each day.

This role is Part-Time Permanent working 25 hours per week.

About Us

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 68 children with operating hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

About You

• Experienced in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control
• Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements.
• Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations
• Be a Team Player with great communication and interpersonal skills
• Be available for set shift days and times Monday to Friday

Successful Applicants must hold

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery orCompleted or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• A current Working with Children’s Check and First Aid
