Job summary

Wollondilly Shire Council is seeking a passionate Child Care Assistant for a permanent part-time position with flexible hours in NSW. You’ll support Before & After School and Vacation Care programs in line with the NQF and applicable legislation.

Requirements include 1+ year of childcare experience, valid First Aid/CPR, WWCC and Police Check, and availability to work early mornings and afternoons during school terms, plus full-day shifts during school holidays. Great teamwork is valued.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years of age with a minimum of 1-year experience working with children aged 5-12 years
• Current First Aid Certificate, CPR certificate, Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Available to work shifts between 6.30am – 9.00am and 3.00pm – 7.00pm during NSW Public School Terms; and shift between 7.00am – 7.00pm during NSW School Holidays.
• Demonstrated ability to work individually and collaboratively as part of a professional team

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality child care in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF) across Before & After School Care and Vacation Care programs.
• Contribute as a reliable team member in Wollondilly Shire Council’s Children’s Services.
