Wollondilly Shire Council in Sydney's southern fringe is seeking a dedicated Child Care Assistant on a permanent part-time basis. You will support high-quality care across Before & After School and Vacation programs in line with the NQF and relevant legislation.

The role requires flexibility for NSW school terms and holidays, with shifts mainly mornings and late afternoons. Join a values-driven team committed to child safety and professional development.

• Over 18 years of age with at least 1 year of experience with children aged 5-12.
• Current First Aid, CPR, WWCC and Police Check are required.
• Availability for NSW term and holiday shifts as specified.

• Permanent Position – working 13 hours per week (Mondays & Tuesdays)
• Commencing at $438.73 per week hour + 12% superannuation
• Flexible Working Hours with availability between: NSW School Terms – 6:30am–9:00am & 3:00pm–7:00pm and NSW School Holidays – 7:00am–7:00pm

About the opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and flexible Child Care Assistant to join our Children’s Services team on a permanent part-time basis. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality child care in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and relevant legislation across our Before & After School Care and Vacation Care programs.

The successful applicant will succeed in this position by meeting the following criteria:

• Over 18 years of age with a minimum of 1-year experience working with children aged 5-12 years
• Current First Aid Certificate, CPR certificate, Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Available to work shifts between 6.30am – 9.00am and 3.00pm – 7.00pm during NSW Public School Terms; and shift between 7.00am – 7.00pm during NSW School Holidays.
• Demonstrated ability to work individually and collaboratively as part of a professional team
