Wollondilly Shire Council invites applications for a Child Care Assistant to join the In the Children’s Services team on a permanent part-time basis. The role supports high-quality care across Before & After School and Vacation Care programs, aligned with the National Quality Framework.

The successful candidate will be over 18 with at least 1 year of experience with school-age children, hold a First Aid and CPR certificate, WWCC and Police Check, and be available for early-morning or

• Current First Aid Certificate, CPR certificate, Working with Children Check and Police Check.
• Shifts available during NSW Public School Terms: 6:30am–9:00am and 3:00pm–7:00pm; NSW School Holidays: 7:00am–7:00pm.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a professional team.

• Permanent Position – working 13 hours per week (Mondays & Tuesdays)
• Commencing at $438.73 per week hour + 12% superannuation
• Flexible Working Hours with availability between: NSW School Terms – 6:30am–9:00am & 3:00pm–7:00pm and NSW School Holidays – 7:00am–7:00pm

About the opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and flexible Child Care Assistant to join our Children’s Services team on a permanent part-time basis. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality child care in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and relevant legislation across our Before & After School Care and Vacation Care programs.

The successful applicant will succeed in this position by meeting the following criteria:

• Over 18 years of age with a minimum of 1-year experience working with children aged 5-12 years
• Current First Aid Certificate, CPR certificate, Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Available to work shifts between 6.30am – 9.00am and 3.00pm – 7.00pm during NSW Public School Terms; and shift between 7.00am – 7.00pm during NSW School Holidays.
• Demonstrated ability to work individually and collaboratively as part of a professional team
