Job summary

Wollondilly Shire Council invites applications for a Child Care Assistant to join the In the Children’s Services team on a permanent part-time basis. The role supports high-quality care across Before & After School and Vacation Care programs, aligned with the National Quality Framework.

The successful candidate will be over 18 with at least 1 year of experience with school-age children, hold a First Aid and CPR certificate, WWCC and Police Check, and be available for early-morning or

Qualifications

• Over 18 years of age with at least 1 year of experience working with children aged 5–12 years.
• Current First Aid Certificate, CPR certificate, Working with Children Check and Police Check.
• Shifts available during NSW Public School Terms: 6:30am–9:00am and 3:00pm–7:00pm; NSW School Holidays: 7:00am–7:00pm.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a professional team.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high‑quality child care in line with the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation.
• Contribute to Before & After School Care and Vacation Care programs.
• Assist in creating a safe and engaging environment for children aged 5–12 years.
