Cater Care is seeking a qualified Chef to support kitchen operations in a small Retirement Village in South Plympton. This role offers a stable, low-volume environment with about 25 residents, and occasional guests, avoiding late nights and high-pressure service.

You’ll work in a structured setting where your cooking directly contributes to residents’ wellbeing, with opportunities for career development within a national organisation.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Chef (Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
• Experience in aged care or similar role preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage service.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to follow routines.
• Commitment to residents' wellbeing; reliable and professional.
• Current flu vaccination and ability to complete a National Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for residents and staff, including texture-modified foods.
• Manage kitchen operations independently during rostered shifts.
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure a clean, organised, and service-ready kitchen.
• Build positive connections with residents and site staff.
• Contribute to a warm, respectful, and collaborative environment.

You’ll work in a structured, low-volume environment (approximately 25 residents, with occasional guests), where your cooking directly contributes to residents’ wellbeing.

Roster (Fortnightly Rotation)

• Week 1: Friday | 9:30am - 6:00pm
• Week 2: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 9:30am - 6:00pm
