Job summary

Cater Care is seeking a qualified Chef to join our aged care facility in The Basin on a part-time basis. You will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff within a collaborative kitchen team.

This hands-on role offers consistent daytime hours, Friday to Sunday roster, and opportunities for career development. Successful applicants must meet vaccination and background check requirements and have a trade qualification in commercial cookery.

We are seeking a qualified Chef to join our aged care facility in The Basin on a part-time basis.

This is a hands‑on role within a large, well-established residential aged care home comprising nine residential wings, supported by a collaborative kitchen team and a welcoming community of residents.

Working within a structured and supportive environment, you will play an important role in preparing nutritious, high‑quality meals that contribute to the health, wellbeing and dining experience of our residents.

This position also provides opportunities for ongoing employment and career development within the organisation.

Skills and Experiences

About You

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a Chef role, with aged care experience essential
• Strong ability to prepare and deliver high‑quality meals in a care‑focused environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail, with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing
