Job summary

The Westport Club in Port Macquarie seeks a Part-Time Chef/Cook to deliver high-quality meals in our fast-paced, high-volume kitchen across restaurant, café and events.

Duties include food preparation during service and events, safe handling, and supporting menu design, cost control, stock checks and waste reduction.

A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environments preferred.
• Ability to contribute to menu design and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and cooking during service, functions, and events.
• Prepare and execute dishes across restaurant, café, and events operations.
• Operate pans, grills and fryers safely with proper sanitation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene standards.
• Provide input on menu design, food and labour cost management.
• Support stock control and waste minimisation processes.
• Adhere to waste disposal procedures and sustainable practices.
