Manage support tickets to SLA targets and work with third-party vendors
Investigate the root cause of recurring issues and implement lasting fixes
Complete post-incident reviews and document workarounds
Run health checks that look at real system performance, and automate them where you can
Tune monitoring and alert processing, and make better use of existing platform features
Streamline existing reports and build new ones in Tableau
Own the change management process and deploy changes to internal and customer systems
Lead testing of new software releases and maintain test environments
Deploy software for customer systems, remotely and on-premises
Write, peer review and maintain knowledge base articles
Train customer personnel in troubleshooting and administration
Contribute ideas that improve how the whole team works
5+ years in a similar IT support role, ideally across software and systems management
Confidence troubleshooting complex technical issues, with strong analytical skills
A systems mindset: you see how components connect and how a change in one place affects another
Clear written and verbal communication
Experience with server hardware, hypervisors and multiple operating systems
A customer-first attitude and a collaborative approach
Enthusiasm for continuous improvement
Tableau (Desktop) or similar reporting tools
OpenText Operations Bridge Manager
Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server, including running queries and using RDP to troubleshoot
Nutanix or VMware for VM management
F5 load balancers for on-premises servers
Scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
DevOps practices and automation tools
Cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
