Job summary

NSW Health is seeking an Allied Health Assistant Physiotherapy at The Sutherland Hospital, Caringbah. This permanent part-time role supports the Physiotherapy team, assisting with therapy plans and patient care under physiotherapist supervision.

Applicants should hold a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent, demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be capable of self-direction with good time management. A current driver's licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent experience.
• Proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of technology relevant to the work unit and compliance with information security policies.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage priorities.
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles.
• Current driver's licence or willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Physiotherapy team in delivering health care services to patients under supervision.
• Assist patients under the direct, indirect or remote supervision of a Physiotherapist in line with SESLHD policies.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to implement therapy plans and maximise patient independence.
