CBCity is seeking a dedicated Parks Assistant to join the Parks Unit, focusing on maintenance of parks, sports fields, nature strips and other open space assets.

The role is permanent full-time with a salary starting at $61,112 plus AWACA and 12% super. A Four-Day Work Week Pilot is available, with a 36-hour week over four days, details to review. Applications from diverse backgrounds are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current Class C Drivers Licence.
• Chemical Users Accreditation Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in Parks & Open Space maintenance.
• Skills & experience necessary to fulfil the role, responsibilities, duties and competency requirements of the position.

Responsabilités

• Maintain parks, sports fields, nature strips and open space areas per service requirements and rosters.
• Undertake risk and hazard assessments and implement corrective actions where needed.
• Ensure works are completed within required timeframes.
• Identify landscape deficiencies in parks maintenance and report.
• Operate plant and equipment (mowers, brush cutters, edgers, blowers) and hand tools as required.
• Collect litter and clean park amenities.
• Report equipment faults and failures.
