Job summary

Cumberland City Council is seeking a Team Member for Open Space maintenance across council worksites, including Auburn Depot, with travel as required. The role focuses on keeping parks and public spaces in excellent, safe condition and delivering strong community service.

The position offers a 70‑hour fortnight, an RDO arrangement, and a range of employee benefits. Applicants must hold a NSW White Card, ChemCert, a Class C licence, and relevant park maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience and demonstrated understanding of park maintenance and industry best‑practice.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with good interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to complete paperwork clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Council Open Space assets to ensure safe, high‑quality spaces for the community.
• Assist in delivering customer and community satisfaction with Open Space operations.
• Operate park maintenance equipment and small plant in line with WHS requirements.
