Job summary

CVGT Melton is seeking a Parent Pathways Mentor (Full Time or Part Time) to empower parents and carers of young children. The role blends case management with community engagement to help participants move toward education and employment goals.

This position offers a 38-hour full-time or 22.8-hour part-time schedule with competitive salary packaging, a $1,000 qualification allowance, and superannuation. The role is based in Melton, Victoria, and involves outreach across local locations.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Community Services is required or in progress
• Strong interpersonal skills with empathy and rapport-building
• Ability to plan and deliver community engagement activities
• Proficient with multiple digital tools and systems
• Willingness to obtain National Police Check and Working with Children Check

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with parents and carers to support education, employment and personal growth goals
• Deliver strengths-based, personalised case management while accommodating parenting responsibilities
• Connect participants with childcare, training, financial assistance, health and wellbeing resources
• Promote the programme through community engagement activities and partner with local services
• Provide in-person support across outreach locations and manage an active caseload
• Maintain accurate records and ensure services meet program guidelines
