Job summary

The Salvation Army Employment Plus invites applications for a Parent Pathways Mentor in Morphett Vale. You will support parents to identify and reach education and employment goals, empowering and encouraging them through program milestones.

As the mentor, you will build relationships, address barriers, coordinate referrals to community services, and help participants secure lasting employment with local employers.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III qualification in Employment Services, Community Services or related area.
• Experience in case management, employment services or social services is highly regarded.
• Experience in empowering participants and navigating barriers in the community.
• Strong written and verbal communication; customer service, coaching and administration skills.
• Must hold a Driver’s licence and Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willing to obtain WWCC.
• Police check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with participants across a caseload and provide supportive guidance.
• Conduct initial and ongoing appointments to help participants achieve goals and program objectives.
• Identify and address barriers to employment and refer to community services.
• Facilitate job placements with local employers and provide ongoing support.
• Work independently and with the team to achieve KPI targets and compliance with guidelines.
