Job summary

Bamara in Mount Isa invites applications for the Parent Pathway Support Mentor to deliver the Parent Pathways Program on behalf of the Australian Government. You will work closely with participants to identify barriers, create achievable steps, and link families to local support services while modelling culturally competent, respectful engagement.

As a vital member of our team, you will build confidence, develop participants' skills, and walk beside parents as they navigate their journey toward

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate III in Community Services or be enrolled.
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, organisations and communities.
• Understanding of barriers faced by unemployed participants, especially parents returning to the workforce.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Parent Pathways Program for Bamara on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
• Identify participants' barriers and create achievable steps and goals.
• Create connections to local support services and deliver culturally competent services.
