Job summary

International Search Partners in Canberra seeks an experienced Associate Planner or Paraplanner to support Senior Financial Planners. You will assist in developing technical and strategic advice for retirees and high net worth clients, attend meetings, complete fact finds, and help prepare Statements/Records of Advice.

Key tasks include client contact, inquiry resolution, and supporting the advice review process while maintaining accurate client data for compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• Paraplanning experience or senior CSO background.
• Solid understanding of Investments, Superannuation & Retirement planning.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel; AI and other platforms a plus.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Our client is a well-established and professional Financial Planning Practice providing independent advice to clients. Due to an internal promotion, a new position has been created for an experienced Associate Planner / Paraplanner who is passionate about Financial Planning and seeking a progressive career path within the industry.

Reporting to the Practice Principal, your role will be aligned to the Senior Financial Planner, assisting in the development and delivery of technical and strategic financial advice for a range of clients including retirees and high networth individuals.

Your responsibilities will include:

Attend client meetings, completing fact find information and developing file notes.

Research and assist in the development of appropriate technical and strategic advice.

Assist in the Paraplanning process, developing and formulating Statements of Advice and Records of Advice.

Be the first point of contact for clients, delivering solutions for client inquiries.

Facilitate the advice review process.

Maintain accurate client information to meet compliance and reporting requirements.

We are seeking a motivated and driven individual who is keen to learn and has the following skills:

Experienced Senior CSO or Associate with Paraplanning experience.

Ability to prioritize workflow to achieve business and client outcomes.

Have a solid understanding of Investments, Superannuation & Retirement planning.

Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite and Excel, AI and various platforms.

Strong communication skills, able to work well with other team members and clients.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Close completion of Financial Planning or Tertiary qualification.
