HBA Legal Pty in Canberra is seeking a Paralegal for a part-time role (2–3 days per week) within the Federal Workers Compensation practice. The candidate will join the Statutory Lines group led by a Partner and will assist with summons, documents, research, and case management.

Ideal applicants are current law students with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and prior experience in insurance or professional services.

Formación

• Current law student with 2nd year status.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Experience in insurance or professional services is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with summons and T-documents processes.
• Prepare chronologies.
• Book medical appointments and examinations.
• Organise service providers for hearings (translators, Counsel).
• Legal research.
• Draft Tribunal documents (Statements of Facts, Issues and Contentions, Submissions).
• Speak with witnesses and brief experts.
• Prepare and engross reports for clients and claims managers.
• Undertake work and delegate tasks to team members where appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to firm policies and procedures.
