Job summary

Origin Energy in Brisbane is seeking a skilled BCCR Panel Operator to join the Brisbane Central Control Room. You will be responsible for safe and reliable operation and monitoring of Integrated Gas assets, ensuring production targets are met and responses to events are managed promptly.

You will work in a collaborative team, with opportunities to optimize assets, transfer control protocols, and manage alarms across field and facility assets in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in control room or remote operations.
• Experience in oil and gas production operations.
• Strong problem solving skills to resolve issues.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor all control and monitoring duties for assets in the Brisbane Central Control Room.
• Meet production targets, manage nominations, and respond to unplanned events.
• Respond to alarms, escalate and coordinate site operator response as needed.
• Transfer control between control room and site locations, and adjust setpoints as required.
• Conduct remote start-up/shutdown and optimize assets to deliver daily gas nominations.

The role

An exciting opportunity to join the Brisbane based Brisbane Central Control Room team is now available. As the BCCR Panel Operator, you will be responsible for all control and monitoring duties, this role will ensure all equipment throughout Integrated Gas sites are operated in a safe and reliable condition and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures and safe operating envelopes. This role is responsible for meeting all production targets, nominations and response to unplanned events, notification, escalation and management of production and emergency situations.

Safe operation of all field and facility assets throughout the Integrated Gas Upstream Operations

Respond appropriately to alarms, rectification of alarmed situation, elevate / initiate and coordinate site operator response as necessary

Adjusting operating setpoints and optimise assets as necessary to deliver /produce daily gas nominations as per the production plan

Manage transfer of control between Control room and site locations via transfer protocols

Manage maintenance / start-up override via process safety override procedures

Conduct remote start-up / shutdown / optimisation of assets as required

Monitor well operation and performance

More about you

5+ years experience in control room OR remote operations

Experience in oil and gas production operations

Strong problem solving skills to enable resolution of administrative, operational or maintenance issues

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as being able to work independently
