Job summary

Busways Group is seeking an experienced Panel Beater/Body Builder to lead daily workshop activities at the Ryde Depot. You will assess damage, remove and replace panels, perform welding and fabrication, and ensure OEM standards are met.

You will work with a team, maintain WHS compliance, and participate in ongoing training to handle Euro 5/6 technologies and potential licence upgrades.

Qualifications

• Hold the relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential.
• Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology required.
• Proven experience as a Body Builder/Panel Beater, especially larger vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of bus body construction repair techniques incl. welding.
• Adherence to WHS regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess damage to bus body panels and provide accurate repair estimates.
• Remove and replace damaged panels, hoods, fenders and other components.
• Weld and fabricate to restore structure and OEM compliance.
• Blend, finish and prep surfaces for painting; ensure smooth finish.
• Maintain workshop safety and record maintenance per forms.
