SMART is seeking a trade-qualified and skilled Panel Beater to join our Coburg workshop. You will repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies with advanced techniques while upholding safety and quality standards.

This full-time, Monday–Friday position offers above-award pay, overtime, a modern workshop, and access to national training programs within AMA Group’s network. Career pathways and team celebrations are part of the culture.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Panel Beater with collision repair experience.
• Proven skill in repairing panels and restoring metal finishes.
• Ability to assess damage and determine best repair solution.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and straightening damaged vehicle bodies, panels, and frames.
• Utilising advanced repair techniques to restore damaged panels wherever possible.
• Applying strong metal finishing skills to achieve quality repair outcomes.
• Removing and replacing panels only when repairs are not viable or do not meet repair standards.
• Reading and interpreting repair methods, job cards, and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Working efficiently to repair scopes and productivity targets.
• Maintaining exceptional quality standards throughout the repair process.
• Operating workshop equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a trade-qualified and skilled Panel Beater to join our SMART team at Coburg.

We're particularly interested in a seasoned professional who takes pride in repairing panels. If you're passionate about your craft, have strong repair skills, and can deliver high-quality repairs efficiently, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm. We can accommodate reasonable flexible working arrangement requests for the right candidate.
