Job summary

Eastern Palliative Care (EPC) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Grade 3A for a permanent part-time role (2 days per week) delivering high-quality palliative care in clients' homes and communities across Melbourne. Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will work within an interdisciplinary team to assess needs, develop care plans and advocate for patients and families.

This is a meaningful role in a not-for-profit setting.

Qualifications

• 12 months+ community-based palliative care experience or 4+ years post-registration nursing.
• Postgraduate qualification in palliative care, oncology, or related field (desirable).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive holistic nursing assessments and develop individualised care plans.
• Deliver, evaluate and coordinate palliative nursing care with clients, families, carers and other health professionals.
• Build trusting relationships with clients and families, ensuring needs and choices are central to care.
• Provide clinical advice, education and advocacy to clients, families and carers.
• Collaborate with GPs and other team members and respond to changing client needs.
• Make advanced clinical decisions and contribute to continuous improvement and quality activities.
• Support and mentor colleagues and student placements; maintain accurate client records.
