Job summary

Luxury Painting & Decorating is seeking highly skilled Painters to join our Canberra-based team. You will handle both residential and commercial projects, from prep to finish, using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Strong attention to detail and colour matching are essential.

Duties include setting up ladders, scaffolding, protecting surfaces, and completing projects on time with a focus on high-quality results. A WHS-compliant mindset and White Card are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant Certificate III/IV plus 2 years relevant experience OR 3 years relevant experience in substitute to the qualification.
• Proven experience in high-quality residential and commercial painting projects.
• Strong WHS practices with a current White Card; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Setting up ladders and scaffolding, protecting furniture and floors.
• Prepping walls: scraping, filling holes, sanding, priming; matching colours.
• Applying paint, varnish and finishes on homes and commercial sites.
• Hanging wallpaper or vinyl coverings; applying texture finishes when needed.

Job Description

Luxury Painting & Decorating We are currently on the hunt for highly skilled Painters to join our team! Duties and Responsibilities Setting up ladders and scaffolding, and laying down drop sheets and tape to protect furniture and floors.

Prepping walls and surfaces by scraping old paint, filling holes, sanding rough spots, and applying primer. Mixing and matching paint colours accurately to meet the client's exact needs. Applying paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment on both homes and commercial sites.

Measuring, cutting, and hanging wallpaper or commercial vinyl coverings, making sure patterns match neatly. Applying special texture finishes or feature wall designs when a project requires it. Washing brushes and spray tools, packing up gear, and leaving the worksite clean and tidy.

Doing minor repairs to wooden and metal window frames, including replacing glass panes and putty when needed Qualification and Experience Required Relevant Certificate III or IV plus 2 years relevant experience OR 3 years relevant experience in substitute to the qualification Skills Required Proven experience in high-quality residential and commercial painting projects Highly skilled in all application methods, including brush, roller, and spray equipment. Expertise in meticulous surface preparation (sanding, filling, patching, and masking) to ensure a flawless finish. An exceptional eye for detail, colour matching, and a commitment to delivering premium results.

Ability to work collaboratively alongside our crew, manage your time effectively on site and consistently meet project deadlines Strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices and a current White Card.
