CC Star in Canberra is seeking two experienced Painters to join our professional team. You will work on a variety of painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites, handling surface preparation, interior and exterior painting, and finishing touch-ups.

The role requires at least two years of painting experience, knowledge of surface preparation, and the ability to work safely and efficiently while delivering high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Two years of painting experience is required.
• Experience with residential, commercial or industrial painting preferred.
• Must be able to prepare surfaces, mix paints and apply finishes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and repairing imperfections.
• Apply paint, stains, varnishes and other finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
• Perform interior and exterior painting work.
• Mix and match paint colours as needed.
• Protect floors, furniture and surrounding areas before starting.
• Complete touch-ups and ensure a clean, professional finish.
• Follow project specifications, safety procedures and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Keep worksites clean and safe.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Due to continued business growth, we are currently seeking two experienced Painters to join our professional team.

About the Role

You will work on a variety of painting projects throughout Canberra and surrounding areas. The role includes surface preparation, interior and exterior painting, touch-ups and finishing work. You will be expected to complete work safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and repairing imperfections
• Apply paint, stains, varnishes and other finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment
• Perform interior and exterior painting work
• Mix and match paint colours when required
• Protect floors, furniture, windows and surrounding areas before commencing work
• Complete touch-ups and ensure a clean, professional finish
• Follow project specifications, safety procedures and supervisor instructions
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Keep worksites clean, organised and safe
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Complete projects efficiently and within required timeframes

Skills and Experience

• At least two years of relevant painting experience
• Good knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques
• Experience with residential, commercial or industrial painting
• The ability to use brushes, rollers and spray equipment confidently
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Good time-management and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A reliable, responsible and professional attitude
• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual work
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• A valid White Card
• A current Australian driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Relevant trade qualifications are preferred but not essential for candidates with solid industry experience.
