Job summary

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd. invites applications for an Exterior Service Planning placement year at Goodwood. You will join a team responsible for new vehicle planning, integrating models into the paint shop, and driving operational optimisation.

This internship helps develop project management, teamwork, communication and presentation skills, with cross-functional collaboration and hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Automotive/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering course required.
• Proficient with Excel, VBA, SharePoint and Power BI.
• CAD experience preferred; German language skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support installation planning for a new paint facility.
• Review concept maturity and change requirements for equipment.
• Evaluate new equipment and controls technologies.
• Update structure layouts and engineering drawings.
• Gather data and drive continuous process improvements.
• Assist in planning new model build phases and trials.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers for trials.
• Analyze quality issues and report KPI trends.
