Job summary

The Shine Centre is seeking a full-time or part-time Behaviour Support Practitioner and Supervisor to join our paediatric allied health clinic in regional Victoria. You will work alongside OTs, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Allied Health Assistants to deliver high-quality behaviour support services in a multidisciplinary setting.

You will provide OBM supervision, group sessions, and individual coaching while supporting supervisees to develop SMART goals and manage caseloads.

Qualifications

• Must hold a behaviour support practitioner ID with the NDIS.
• Must hold suitability as an Advanced or Specialist Practitioner.
• Must be proficient practitioner or higher under the NDIS PBS Capability Framework.
• Have allied health credentials (Masters or Post Grad in Behaviour, Psychology, OT, Speech, etc). CBA/BCBA candidates ideal but not required.
• Experience providing supervision.
• Experience with children and knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Disability, complex behaviour, or disability work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver weekly 1:1 supervision sessions to Alternative Pathways and Core Practitioners.
• Deliver fortnightly 1:1 supervision sessions to Proficient Practitioners.
• Deliver weekly 1:1 supervision sessions for providers working towards Certified Behaviour Analyst status.
• Deliver group supervision sessions.
• Support supervisees with professional development plans and SMART goals.
• Help supervisees manage caseloads and diaries within scope.
• Ensure team complies with registrations and requirements.
• Help colleagues from other disciplines understand behaviour support and restrictive practices.
• Participate in monthly projects to improve services.
• Present to team and community about Behaviour Support.
• Collaborate with management on supervisees progress.
