Job summary

The Shine Centre in Victoria is seeking a Speech Pathologist (Paediatrics) for either part-time or full-time engagement. You will develop SMART goals, deliver therapy, and prepare reports in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to children and adolescents.

Join a supportive paediatric allied health team, participate in supervision, and contribute to client-centred care across clinic and offsite settings as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Pathology required.
• SPA Membership required.
• Working with Children Check required.
• NDIS Worker Screener required.
• First Aid Certificate required.
• Open to new graduates or experienced practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Develop SMART goals for each client.
• Deliver therapy sessions and assessments.
• Complete clinical progress notes for each session.
• Write assessment reports and letters to paediatricians, schools, or the NDIS.
• Collaborate with the client’s care team.
• Attend supervision sessions and team meetings.
• Have fun while delivering high-quality care.

Speech Pathologist (Paediatrics) - Part Time or Full Time

You want to help other team members at The Shine Centre understand the role of a speech pathologist and are equally keen to learn about other disciplines (Psychology, Behaviour Support, and Occupational Therapy).

About the Role

In the role you will:

• Develop SMART goals for each clients
• Deliver therapy sessions and/or assessments (most sessions occur in clinic but can be arranged offsite as you see fit)
• Complete clinical progress notes for each session delivered
• Write assessment reports and other reports (letters to Paediatricians, educational settings, or the NDIS) as required
• Collaborate with each of your client's care team
• Attend individual and group supervision sessions
• Attend and participate in team meetings
• Have fun!

• First Aid Certificate
• This position is suitable for new graduates or experienced practitioners
• Preferred experience working with children and disability.
• Valid Australian work visa or work authorisation required.
