Job summary

The Mater Hospital in Sydney is seeking a Registered Nurse – Anaesthetics and Recovery for a Permanent part-time position. You will provide specialised nursing care to patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgical procedures, monitor vitals, manage pain, and support families.

You must hold current AHPRA registration (DIV1) with a minimum of 2 years’ post‑registration experience, and be eligible to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Valid AHPRA registration (DIV1).
• Australian work rights required (citizen/visa with work rights).

Responsibilities

• Provide specialised nursing care to patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs during the recovery phase.
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration and post-operative complications.
• Administer medications and pain management therapies as prescribed.
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the recovery journey.
