Job summary

Mater Hospital in Sydney is seeking a Registered Nurse for Anaesthetics and Recovery on a permanent/part-time basis. You will provide specialised nursing care for patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgical procedures, monitor vital signs, and respond to post-operative complications.

The role requires current AHPRA registration (DIV1) with at least 2 years, a commitment to patient-centered care, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration (DIV1) with minimum 2 years of experience.
• Commitment to patient centered care and safety.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialised nursing care to patients recovering from anaesthesia and surgery.
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and monitor vital signs during recovery.
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration and post-operative complications.
• Administer medications and pain management therapies as prescribed.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the recovery journey.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement and clinical excellence.
