Job summary

NSW Health – Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the Anaesthetic & Post Anaesthetic Care Unit. Permanent full-time or part-time positions are available, focusing on PACU care after anaesthesia or procedures.

Applicants must be Division 1 RNs with AHPRA and have demonstrated knowledge of PACU/surgical ward nursing, strong communication, and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting. Immunisation and screening are required during the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated knowledge and extensive clinical experience of Anaesthetics/PACU and/or surgical ward nursing.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• The PACU nurse provides care for patients immediately following anaesthetic (general, sedation or regional) or procedures with potential life-threatening complications.
