Job summary

Origin Sauce is seeking a Packing Worker to assemble and package finished goods, ensuring quality and compliance with hygiene and safety standards. You will support warehouse and production teams, maintain accurate records, and help maintain a clean, efficient workspace in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves standing for long periods, frequent lifting (5–25 kg), repetitive packing tasks, and operating packaging equipment with attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or logistics operations preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling and hygiene practices advantageous.
• Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety procedures desirable.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Able to lift and move items weighing 5–25 kg as required.
• Repetitive packing, labeling and machine operation may be required.

The Packing Worker is responsible for assembling, checking, packaging, and preparing finished goods for sale, ensuring that all packaging components meet Origin Earth's quality, food safety, and operational standards. This role supports both the packaging and warehouse teams by maintaining accuracy, efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble product components into finished goods ready for sale
• Ensure packaging components meet required quality and company specifications
• Check that all printed information is correct and compliant
• Assist warehouse staff with general warehouse duties as required
• Provide assistance in other areas of the business when necessary to maintain smooth operations
• Accurately record and report any wastage of materials or products
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production activities
• Work collaboratively with warehouse, production, packaging, and other staff to achieve the best possible operational outcomes
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Safely operate and monitor machinery and equipment as required

About you

Previous experience in warehouse or logistics operations preferred but not essential

Knowledge of food handling and hygiene practices advantageous

Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety procedures desirable but not essential

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts

Able to frequently bend, reach, lift, carry, and handle materials and products

Ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to approximately 5-25 kg, where required by the role

Able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, including packing, labelling, sorting, and operating machinery

Able to work in low to moderate noise, with temperature variations, around moving machinery

Able to use required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety footwear, gloves, hearing protection, and eye protection as required
