Qualifications

• Previous pick packing or warehouse experience, preferably within food distribution or cold storage.
• Experience working in refrigerated or freezer environments highly regarded.
• Ability and willingness to work in cold conditions for extended periods.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy when picking orders.
• Physically capable of performing repetitive manual handling tasks.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices desirable.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack food products accurately according to customer orders.
• Work across chilled and frozen storage areas as required.
• Manual picking lists or warehouse systems to process orders.
• Check product quantities, labels, expiry dates and product quality.
• Prepare, label and stage completed orders for dispatch.
• Assist with stock replenishment, rotation and general warehouse duties.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and cold-chain requirements.
• Perform manual handling, including lifting, bending, reaching and repetitive movements.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Meet daily picking targets and productivity expectations.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

This is a physically demanding role requiring individuals who are comfortable working in cold temperatures, performing repetitive tasks and working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

• Regular exposure to refrigerated and freezer temperatures.
• Prolonged standing, walking and repetitive movements.
• Manual handling of cartons and food products within safe lifting limits.
• Wearing appropriate cold-storage PPE, including thermal clothing, gloves and safety footwear.
• Adherence to strict food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
