Job summary

Symmetry Human Resources Group is seeking reliable Order Pickers for a food production facility in Brisbane. You will use a Pick-to-Light system to accurately select breakfast, lunch and frozen meal products to fulfil customer orders.

Key duties include picking, packing into bags, labelling, and placing orders into tubs for dispatch while maintaining accuracy, quality, and strict food safety hygiene standards in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• Requires strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Experience with food handling environments is a plus but not essential.
• Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments.

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Order Pickers to work within our food production facility. Using a Pick-to-Light system, you will accurately select breakfast, lunch and frozen meal products to fulfil customer orders.

Key duties include:

• Picking products using a Pick-to-Light system
• Packing customer orders into bags
• Labelling completed orders
• Placing completed orders into tubs ready for dispatch
• Maintaining accuracy and quality standards
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times

Working Environment

• Fresh food and cold storage areas maintained at approximately 5°C
• Freezer storage areas for frozen meal selection
• Fast-paced environment involving standing, walking, bending and reaching throughout the shift

Requirements

• Previous warehouse, picking, packing or food production experience is advantageous but not essential
• Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team

As this is a food handling role, strict food safety standards apply. Successful applicants must be willing to comply with the following:

• No jewellery, watches or visible piercings while working
• All piercing jewellery must be removed before commencing work
• No false nails, acrylic nails or nail enhancements
• No false eyelashes
• No makeup permitted in food handling areas
• Adherence to all workplace food safety, hygiene and quality requirements
