Sharp and Carter in Rhodes, NSW, is seeking a hands-on Purchasing Officer focused on packaging. You will own a defined portfolio from day one, manage end-to-end orders, and work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery in a lean procurement team.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of purchasing experience, packaging know-how, and strong Excel/ERP skills. This hybrid role requires a collaborative mindset and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Competenze

• 2–5 years of hands-on purchasing or procurement experience, ideally in manufacturing, FMCG or food.
• Packaging procurement experience is strongly preferred, including artwork approvals and supplier management.
• Strong administration and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with Excel and ERP systems.
• No strategic or category management experience required.

Mansioni

• Manage purchase orders end to end, from placement through to delivery.
• Work with suppliers to schedule and expedite deliveries, manage backorders and keep lead times under control.
• Review material requirements against MRP and production schedules, and flag issues to internal teams early.
• Source quotes and manage day-to-day supplier relationships.
• Support packaging procurement, including custom packaging.
• Coordinate artwork and marketing requirements with customers and third parties.
• Maintain ERP item master data and procurement records.
• Negotiating with packaging suppliers.
