Job summary

Perfect Automation Pty Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to install and commission packaging machinery on customer lines, diagnose faults, and ensure performance through testing and QA checks.

With a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics and at least five years’ experience, you will read drawings, plan preventive maintenance, and support customers on-site while maintaining safety standards and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a mechanical engineering technician or packaging machinery technician.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and methodical fault-finding.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission packaging machinery at customer sites, integrating with existing lines and systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in mechanical, pneumatic, automated and mechatronic systems.
• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance to sustain performance and reduce downtime.
• Prepare service reports and provide technical guidance to customer operators and maintenance staff.
